“Get Better – Stay Better”

About Us

We are an independent, therapist owned outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic, founded by Brian and Cheryl Gesik in 1999. We built our current 4,000 square foot location and state of the art facility in 2005 in the Thurston area of Springfield. Our therapists all have their own private treatment rooms to insure privacy and confidentiality during your treatment sessions. We also have the full complement of rehab exercise equipment for you to utilize in maximizing your specific orthopedic exercise requirements.

All of our physical therapists go through a rigorous and extensive residency training, fellowship program in advanced orthopedic therapy emphasizing hands-on treatment techniques. Brian and Cheryl supervise and instruct all of the class and lab work and give written, practical and oral examinations to assure competency of their staff in all areas of orthopedic physical therapy.

Our licensed physical therapy assistants also go through a comprehensive training program to include instruction in the management of all orthopedic surgical and non-surgical exercise protocols, precautions and contraindications. Specific home exercise instruction, supervision of in clinic rehab exercise programs, and teaching neuromuscular movement retraining lessons are all included in the education of our associates.

Our intention and goal is for you to have a positive outcome with your treatment regardless of which therapy team you work with, as all have been trained in advanced orthopedic competencies.

We at MCOPT are humbled and grateful to the local Springfield and Eugene communities for their support of our work over the years. We look forward to providing effective orthopedic physical therapy in continuing to serve our community for many years to come.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy of care is based on finding and treating the root cause of your dysfunction, rather than chasing your pain with temporary remedies. When we treat the source of your pain and restore normal neuromuscular mechanics of the spine and extremities, your body will continue to heal for weeks and months to come after your treatment is completed.
