Brian K. Gesik
P.T, M.T.C
Brian Gesik is a native Oregonian who grew up on the Coast in Lincoln City. He attended Pacific University in Forest Grove Oregon for his undergraduate and graduate training, completing Physical Therapy School there in 1981.
Brian finished his M.T.C (Manual Therapy Certification), in advanced hands-on manual therapy applications for the spine and extremities in 1985 through the Institute of Graduate Health Sciences under the supervision and instruction of Stanley Paris, P.T, P.H.D
He was certified in 1993 as a SCS (Strain/Counterstrain) instructor through the Jones Institute, the developers of the SCS method of patient treatment. He taught seminars for the Jones Institute nationally for 6 years.
In his free time, Brian is an avid swimmer, mediocre tennis player, downhill skier and frustrated golfer. Most of all, he enjoys his water sports in Hawaii while visiting his kids and grandchildren.
Cheryl R. Gesik
P.T
Cheryl Gesik did her undergraduate, prerequisite studies at the University of Hawaii. She then went to Pacific University and completed her Bachelors of Science and Certificate in Physical Therapy in 1981.
She has been a lifelong learner, refining her craft to better serve her patients in Springfield, Eugene and Hawaii. She has been blessed with great teachers and mentors over the years, who taught her how to effectively help her patients.
Cheryl enjoys volunteering in her church and with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. When she has time to play and explore, she loves the water, where you can find her swimming, boogie boarding, paddle boarding or skiing. She also likes riding her bike, hiking and playing tennis. Her greatest joy is to visit her family in Hawaii.
It is with great honor and gratitude that she continues to be of service to her patients, who have been her teachers and her friends. Even after 41 years, every day is a great day to be at work.
Nicholas Gammie
P.T., D.P.T.
Nick was born and raised here in Springfield, Oregon. He attended Marist High School in Eugene and graduated in 2010. He then went on to earn his Bachelor of Science Degree from Western Oregon University where he studied primarily exercise science and human biology. In 2019, Nick earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from George Fox University. Nick’s clinical expertise is primarily in orthopedics, with special interest in those who are recovering from work or sport related injuries, post-operative, balance dysfunction, or those with persistent pain.
Outside of work, Nick enjoys fitness, anything outdoors, listening to audiobooks, games, and spending time with his family.
Cheyenne Mendenhall
P.T,D.P.T
Cheyenne is an Oregon native who grew up in Beaverton Oregon. She attended the University of La Verne in southern California for her Bachelors degree in kinesiology. After graduation, she moved to Nashville Tennessee for her Physical Therapy training, earning her Doctorate degree in 2021.
Cheyenne’s clinical expertise is primarily in orthopedics with special interests in athletics/ sports injury prevention, and those who are recovering from automobile accidents.
Outside of work, Cheyenne’s interests include animal rescue and ocean conservation. She has one rescue dog now that is a golden retriever named Cooper.
Jeremiah Cruz
P.T., C.L.T.
Jerry graduated from University of the East Philippines to earn his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 2011. He moved to the United States in 2015 and worked as a Travel Physical Therapist. Jerry’s clinical expertise is primarily in orthopedics with interest in work related injuries and preoperative/postoperative rehabilitation. Jerry is also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist.
Outside of work, Jerry enjoys skiing, kayaking and fitness.
Gwyn Scott
P.T.A.
Gwyn has always had a great interest in the science and art of human movement. She graduated from Mills College in Oakland, California with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a minor in dance in 2004. Her first career was in wildlife biology and natural resource management working for multiple agencies in her home state of Oregon, as well as many other Western states. A desire to transition to healthcare prompted Gwyn to apply to the Lane Community College’s Physical Therapist Assistant Program; she graduated in June of 2017.
Outside of work, Gwyn enjoys a variety of physical activities including various forms of dance, yoga, partner acrobatics and aerial arts. She also enjoys activities in the great outdoors such as hiking, camping, and jogging
Kathryn "Kate" Armstrong-Bard
P.T.A.
Kate was born and raised in Oregon and while she has spent time living elsewhere, she is always happy to return home. Kate believes in strengthening the community by volunteering with local organizations when she is able and is grateful that she has a career that allows her to do so. She earned her Associates of Science through Lane Community College PTA program in 2018. Since graduating, she has been working at MCOPT where she has gained experience and extensive training in the Strain Counterstrain method.
With her free time, Kate stays active with backpacking, disc golf, kayaking, gardening, and enjoying the local music scene.
Meghan Nott
P.T.A.
Meghan is an Oregon native who grew up in Grant’s Pass, Oregon. She always had a passion for the healthcare field and moved to Eugene in 2014 to pursue Lane Community College’s PTA program. She graduated the program with an Associate’s in Applied Science in 2018.
Outside of work, Meghan enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her 5 year old lab Grizzly. You can also find her enjoying anything outdoors such as hiking, kayaking and fishing.
Meghann Dietrich
P.T.A.
Meghann is an Oregon native who grew up in Coos Bay, Oregon. She graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 2013 and then sparked an interest in pursuing a career in the healthcare field. In 2018, she graduated from the PTA program at Lane Community College.
Outside of work, Meghann enjoys spending time with her husband, two boys, and pets. She enjoys camping, hiking, cooking and traveling.
Cassandra Ramsey
P.T.A.
Cassandra is an Oregon native who grew up in Coburg, Oregon. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences from Oregon State University before returning to school to complete Lane Community College’s Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2020.
In her free time she enjoys growing a large flower garden and fruit orchard, mountain biking, traveling, dancing, and hanging out with her dogs.
Kylie Dean

“Kylee is an Oregon native who was born and raised here in Springfield, Oregon. With a lifelong passion for healthcare, she remained local and pursued the PTA program at Lane Community College. Kylee graduated the program in 2023 with an Associate’s in Applied Science and became a part of the MCOPT team shortly thereafter.
